Post subject:  Possible problem with my new Chronomat GMT
Hello, I'm Daniele from Italy, though I'm a long time reader this is my very first post and it is a help request.

My 1 week old Chronomat GMT looks like having an issue.
I'll try to explain at my best.
1)I manually winded the watch (crown in position 1).
2)Per user manual I setted the Home Time (crown in position 3) and minutes first.
3)Crown in position 2 and setted the hour hand so that there is no shift with the time setted at point 2) above. Of course the date has been setted as well.

The issue is that the red hand (local time hand) and minutes hand are deadly accurate. The hours hand it is not.
When this morning was 11:30 CET and the hours hand should be halfway between 11 and 12 marks, it was on the 56' mark, whereas it should be between 57' and 58'.

Any hint is hotly appreciated.

Without seeing pictures it's tough to know for sure if there is an issue.

If the difference is inconsistent then it is likely just tolerances in the running train that have to exist to prevent the wheels from binding. If it is also off on the hours - i.e. the GMT hand doesn't point to a full hour when the main time is on a full hour then it is likely a hand positioning issue that can easily be fixed by Breitling.

The point is that the Red hand (home time in the Chronomat GMT) lands on the full hour. There is a slight misalignment in the running train or just tolerances in the running train.
Lets make an example (leaving the Red hand that shows home time alone as it works perfectly).
Every hour can be ideally divided by using 5 minutes marks. That is to say that if it is noon the hours hand will have to travel through 5 minutes markers to reach 13:00 . Each of this markers thus means 12minutes. I carefully looked into the hours hands position by using this method.
Each of this markers gives a way to cover a travel of 6° of the hour hand. The misalignment of hours hand is of about -6 minutes .
Thus in the end: for every full hour (and every other time) the hour hand is misaligned by roughly 3 degrees counterclockwise.

That sounds like simple tolerance in the running train to me.

Yep. Maybe it is just a tooth that needs some bed in.
After all we're talking about 0.83% error.
And watch is newer than one week.
Same must be said for precision: +5 seconds per day.

Anyway I needed an educated opinion, thus I do thank you :D :lingsrock:
