I'm in the process of having a custom strap made for my Navitimer 01 LE. The leather guy I'm working posed the question: I've looked for the length measurement at spring bar centers but haven't found it. Would you be able to measure and tell me what it is? I dug around the forum but came up with very little. Based on what I found, I replied that the inside of the Breitling Calfskin strap reads 22-20, 22mm at the lugs and 20mm at the clasp, but he says that's NOT the info he needs. He provided this to trying to explain, but I'm still at a loss: http://www.timesofplenty.com/022012/DSCF6170.JPG Hoping for some of the experts here to explain/ answer his question about the "length measurement at spring bar centers". Thanks guys. |

I assume that it's a bund style strap if he needs that. No idea off the top of my head and don't have access to mine right now to measure, but hopedully someone can measure. |

Thanks Roff, but it's not a bund strap... It's going to be a "swiss ammo" leather strap. I can't seem to find this info anywhere. |

No- - two separate pieces. Here's the actual strap: http://www.timesofplenty.com/032012/DSCF6497.JPG http://www.timesofplenty.com/032012/DSCF6495.JPG |

So why the heck do they need exact case measurements? I get the fact that the strap length is affected by the size of the case to some extent, but it's not that exact a science. |

Not sure. He makes great straps, I don't want to question the guy's method since I'm assuming he has a good reason. Really appreciate the help nonetheless |

Did he have you provide your wrist size when you ordered the strap. If so, he may be trying to determine the best leather length for you including the case size for a best fit. Seems a tad anal, though. Just tell him it is 43mm. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

The length is basically the distance around your wrist, minus the length of your watch, plus a bit to allow for the natural expansion and contraction of the wrist. The width where the band fits to the watch is known as "lug width" or "lug spacing". So just tell him it is 43m or get a ruler and meaure it. If it is off it will only be a couple mm and that shouldn't make a differece on a leather strap. |

It is 43mm (measured with a ruller) on Navi Super Constellation. Not exactly the same Navi but close enough for this purpose. |
