420a (assuming SS), same as for the Navitimer 92.

Thank you kindly Roff!
Somehow I knew you would have the answer.

It's from the 2000 Handbook, but something really isn't right.
SS is 422A, TT is 420D, RG is 421H.

A bit more backgroung why I am trying to find the correct bracelet.
About 6 weeks ago I came accross this Premier:

The watch came in very good condition inside and out other than the bit of oxidization near the centre of the dial that you can see in the picture.
It is currently being pampered by Breitling, getting a complete overhaul and a new dial.
The watch came on an original blue strap as seen in the picture.
After a complete re-vival it would be nice to put it on an original Navi bracelet:

Breitling are however quoting just under $2,000 for a new Navi Bracelet to fit this watch.
I know Navi bracelets are expensive but it is questionable if it is worth investing that much in this piece, even if it is going to be just about like new when Breitling are finished with it. Hence hoping to try my luck on ebay and FS listings in the forums although I do understand that this will not be easy to find.

Another alternative is to put it on the Ocean Classic. After all, the Premier has more of the Transocean characteristics than of Navitimer.
The local Breitling Centre have a correct one in stock that fits the Premier, they quickly put in on for me to see what it would look like, not too bad at all.
Here is an idea what it would look like.

Premier on OC.JPG

Breitling are asking just under $1000 for it which sounds much more reasonable.
I like the look of the Premier very much, especialy the one with the champagne colour dial.
The total cost of ownership with the OC bracelet, overhaul, new dial would be just under $2,500 which is also reasonable. It did come with the inner and outer box (like new) and original waranty.

I would be very interested to hear what your thoughts are. Would you consider the OC bracelet?
I will get a leather strap for it as they are only $200 but would realy like to have it on steel as well which will most likely be the default configuration.

Thanks for your thoughts.

Wessa

might be repeating myself from other similar questions, have your AD put this on a brown croc and have a look, have the same combo, very nice. $2,000 for the bracelet seems crazy, do not like the mesh with it.

Hi Fred,

Yes you are 99% right. I think I will either go for a brown or blue leather of some variety and keep searching for a bargain on the original Navi bracelet.
Most likely will twist my AD's arm to get me a good discount on the original Navi bracelet on my next bigger purchase which is very likely to happen later in the year after Basel World announcements :D .
Basically I know damned well that if I did get the Ocean Classic bracelet now, I know I would eventually get the Navi one way or the other, so I might as well wait until the right oportunity comes.
Could you please PM me with a picture of your combo? Would very much like to see what it looks like.

Cheers,

Wessa.
