My AD (and some here) have suggested I can clean my steel case and steel bracelet under running water with a brush. I assume that the brush needs to be stiff enough to do the job but not so stiff that it can scratch the polished steel. Any suggestions? Would a toothbrush be approriate (without the toothpaste of course!)? |

I suggest Veraet Watch Spray....Great stuff. You can order WWW.VERAET.COM Your watch will really shine and as the name implies it's made for watches. |

Thanks. It's an older chronomat-style with a screw down crown (B13047). I am actually more concerned about cleaning the polished metal strap than the watch itself, which I can do a bit more carefully. I will definitely look into the spray, thanks. |

You can take the bracelet off of the watch and put it through an ultrasonic cleaner - any jeweller should be prepared to do that for you for just a few bucks. Just don't put the watch itself into an ultrasonic! |

No clue why it never occurred to me to take the strap off. Thanks |

I found that a liquid stainless steel cleaner rinsed off with liquid soap & water i use on high end cars, gives great results, ......moreso if the bracelet is off the Ling.........then a mix of Autosol diluted down with the steel cleaner on the now laid flat bracelet, applied with even same way strokes on a microfibre cloth gets the scratches out also,....... or pay a jeweller to do it!!!! ![]() |

Bought some of the Veraet watch spray. Not sure it would work well for a watch that was heavily soiled, but for my purposes it worked great and seems very gentle. Thanks for the advice! |
