B-1 bezel not aligned

When the slide rule is aligned on my B-1 there is a visible 12 position on the bezel off for about 1mm, can this be fixed?
When I align the bezel, slide rule is off, is this a manufacturing defect or it has to do with the way it was mounted.

It's not a defect - it's just to do with the gearing.

If I turn full circle it is moving further off the 12 position, the closest I can get is 1mm.
If someone can explain what the 4 small screws on the bezel serve for.
They are really small and in order to remove it will require very fine small screwdriver that most likely only Breitling watch repairer have.
It is hard for me to believe this can not be fixed.
My theory was (and hope I'm right) if the 4 screws are released, bezel can rotate freely without rotating the slide rule.
We got to find someone who can confirm this.

Unless you are a watchmaker, I would strongly advise you against taking those screws out. The screws are there to keep the bezel on, and while removing it is not a problem with watches such as an SA or a Chronomat as the case remains sealed, the B1 is a different beast. The B1 (and the Airwolf and Bentley models) use a pinion gear system between the inner and outer bezel to help ensure better water-resistancy while still allowing the slide rule to operate, and this is a complex and very small piece of machinery. If you remove the outer bezel you may very well have problems getting it back again.... unless you are a pro.

As I say, the non-alignment of the inner bezel is not a defect - it was just made that way as the inner bezel moves at a slightly different rate to the outer bezel due to the gearing. I have watch ODC as much as the next guy when it comes to lining things up, but this is just going to have to be one for you live with I'm afraid.

It took me God knows how long to get them alligned.
Funny thing is when I went to see the B-2's they were both off as well.
I am sure that is has to do with the special gearing inside.
No one will notice, except for use! If we don't watch out we'll be writing for donkey's years about this quirkiness..... :oops:
