Whats the best way to clean the dust and dirt off the polished bracelet and the crystal? Thanks for your help.

Some people use soft toothbrush (new) and a mild detergent.
I use liquid handwash (without skin lotion).

Cape cod cloths can be used on polished metal. Some of the guys on here use them and swear by them. Great for removing minor scratches and leaves a perfect finish. If you search through the forums you will find pics - Brings a Breitling back fully to its formal glory! :)

Yes, but not for every day cleaning. Don't forget that cape clods are mildly abrasive - you are removing tiny amounts of metal each time that you polish. Regular mild or diluted detergent is best for regular cleaning with as polish every few months as needed.

Thanks Roff, I should hav been more clear on that. Otherwise, you would end up with only a "half ling" in a couple of years!!

what about cleaning the crystal without taking off the coating?

Mild or diluted detergent, same as the case.

If you do end up getting some cape cods avoid using them on the crystal, but there's no problem in cleaning the crystal in the same way as the case. I wouldn't put huge amounts of elbow grease into it, but realistically you'ld have to be at it for a very long time to damage the AR with ordinary detergent.

For daily cleaning, I use a mild soap (diswashing liquid, etc), and dry with a soft cloth.

For the new members: NEVER use any type of polish on your crystal. It will remove the anti-reflective coating, and dull the finish of the crystal.
