I have the Navitimer 01 ltd, its about 2 weeks old
Last night i was wearing it and noticed a little click sound looked at the watch and realised it was the date that had just changed.
It was 11:57, is this normal for the 01 movement or should it be spot on 12:00?
Not mega bothered but just wondered.
Knowing absolutely nothing about watch movements I am guessing the mechanisim is a little out of sync.

It's fine.

The 01 movement has an instant date change and it's not possible to always have it exactly at midnight because there are so many variables involved - slack in the running train, the point at which there is exactly enough power in the date change mechanism to effect the change, etc.

Are there any updates on the date issues with the 01 movement? I've been looking into a Navi 01 for some time but remember reading someone's post on here containing AD service center information regarding numerous issues with the instant date change. Something about broken parts due to the amount of torque required for an instant change.

I know there's been a few other issues with the B01, but I don't remember seeing anything specifically to do with the date change mechanism......

That's what I was told when I spoke to the service centre here with the latest trip back for my Zenith. I mentioned to them about the chrono related problems that had been fairly common here and the guy there said that he hadn't seen that but had seen a number of date related issues.
