I have recently run into a situation with Breitling and was wondering if anyone has ever been in a similar position. At the beginning of September, I brought my 1997 Jupiter Pilot to my dealer for a battery replacement. About a week ago, I recevied a letter from Breitling stating that parts are no longer available for this watch, and offered me one of the following choices: 1. 30% off any current Breitling (excluding those with precious metals or jewels). 2. 45-55% off certain Aerospace models. As disappointed as I was at the death of my watch, this seems like too good of a deal to pass up. I can get an Aerospace with a leather strap for $1500. Has anyone ever had an exchange offer like this before? |

It's standard practice from Breitling for the early quartz watches that are no longer repairable. Welcome to BreitlingSource. |

Why would parts be needed just for a battery change? |

Hello, It will be the same issue with Pluton watches. (3100, 80191 model, 1st generation). I got one, and I know that I will have a discount on a new watch with my AD. (perhaps with another discount as I am a very good customer) ![]() ![]() On some other watches, they put some "Japan movments", I got one in a M50035, they changed it without asking me, I had to pay the bill (120€). |
