I have a 6 month old super avenger that only keeps time in the chrono mode? Any ideas?

If you mean that it doesn't run at all with the chrono off then it needs servicing, it's to do with the various resistance in the movement and the tilting pinion for the chrono affecting that. Make sure to tell Breitling that it doesn't run unless the chrono is running otherwise they can miss the problem.

Thanks. Yes, it does not run at all with the chrono off. Hard to believe such a new watch needs service this early. Thanks again.

It may just be some dirt in there. If it's less than 2 years old then it should be under warranty anyway.

Incredible that you have to tell them if even a WIS can spot it.

Don't they usually look up every possible problem when a watch is in?

If a watch is sent for servicing then they'll just disassemble, clean, check and replace, oil and reassemble. This may well need an additional adjustment to prevent the problem from recurring.

I don't see it as a big deal, no different to taking a car in for servicing and mentioning something that's not right.

That sounds logical.

However, when I bring my car in for a service, I have always been asked if there is anything special that it needs to be addressed.

Yes, but you take your car directly to the service centre, you generally don't hand the watch directly to the watchmaker.
