After spending quite a bit of time searching I finally found a watch, currently in production, that meets most of my criteria. Unfortunately I'm having some difficulty going about purchasing it. It seems that my main problem is two fold.

There are no authorized dealers within several hundred miles. I will only buy from an authorized dealer.

This seems to leave me with few options. Do I place an order over the internet? Banks and Lyon seem to have a good presence on the web but I'm not sure how comfortable I am with ordering from another country. Has anyone here had to deal with customs/duties? Am I better off getting on a plane and flying a couple thousand miles? Should I call a jeweler and ask them to send me a catalog?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Cheers

I live in central Alaska. Fairbanks is nearby, but I couldn't find an authorized dealer there or in Anchorage. The 3 I found in state are Skagway, Ketchikan and Juneau.

Buy from an AD in the US and have it shipped. Check your PMs for some contact info.

Also bear in mind the three Alaska AD's are geared for the cruise ships. I'm sure you could do better buying from the lower 48 and having it shipped up.
