Hi, I'm looking at purchasing an emergency E56121 from Tourneau. They're asking 3,400. Questions I have regarding packaging and if the "transmitter " monitoring it's transferable. What should I expect with regards to the box/packaging? What about the price, am I overpaying? And the FAA registration, it's this transferable or is it strictly a time deal for the original owner? Thanks in advance |

Pricing was addressed in your thread this morning. You have to register the change of ownership with Breitling so that they know that you are now the owner. Tourneau should be able to provide the form. Plenty of photos of the box sets on here that show you exactly what to look for, just use the search function. Search function can also provide you with some useful feedback on Tourneau. |

I just saw the episode of Pawn Stars again last night where Rick paid well over full retail for a used Emergency. It was such a set-up - a scripted Breitling commercial. Maybe that episode accounts for some of the silly FS postings I've seen lately asking essentially list or within 10% of list for a Breitling. He talked about Breitling as if it were Patek. |

Hello, Here is a usefull thread about the Emergency and the owner transfert to be filled in by the new onwer to Breitling, through any AD who can sell Emergency watches viewtopic.php?f=1&t=31913 (see my answer at the bottom of page 1) I will repeat it here "again": (think to use the search on this fourm ![]() Hello, The Emergency watch is a tool for airplane emergency before being a watch. See at the bottom of this thread the contract you have to sign with Breitling if you want to register the watch with them of with the seller. If you deploy the antenna in a non-distress event, See rules 3 & 4, to make the Breitling Emergency Beacon available again, it will cost 2,000€ and to cover all the costs for the Emergency to try to save your life. Problems about the Breitling Emergency watch was discussed on these threads below: http://breitlingsource.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=7337 You also have to take in consideration the cost of the Maintenance for this watch, each 2 years it will cost to you 340€ (to maintain the beacon operationnal, chage of batteries) for example in Europe. http://breitlingsource.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=32009 At last, see how to deploy the antenna below: ![]() ![]() Best regards, Challenger_fr |
