Hi, I'm seeking some help. I'm interested in purchasing an emergency in either yellow or blue dial. Questions I have ; - which dial color it's most desirable - how important is the packaging? I'm looking preowned - I found one with a professional and another with a professional II bracelet What's the difference between the two bracelets? Lastly, how can I determine exact year of watch and approximate value. I don't want to overpay. Thanks |

Colour is subjective - choose the one that appeals to you the most. I guess blue is less polarising, but there are markets for both. If you don't have the packaging then the watch is worth less, but not necessarily ridiculously so. With the Emergency the packaging is slightly more important, especially the tester. Titanium versions of the Pro and Pro II bracelets are covered here - http://www.breitlingsource.com/bracelet ... nium.shtml and http://www.breitlingsource.com/bracelet ... ium2.shtml. The links are differently shaped and the clasp is improved on the Pro II. Information on dating is here - http://www.breitlingsource.com/articles_dating.shtml Price is covered in the FAQs, #2 here - http://www.breitlingsource.com/articles_faq.shtml#8 |

Thank you very much for the education Roff. I was looking at purchasing with the big "T" but they're telling me they may not have the original packaging the watches came with. They gave me some price ranges but I'm not sure if I can post here. Thanks again |

I, of course, agree w/ virtually everything that Roff said in his reply but for one issue. Buying an E without a complete box set [which includes the all important tester] is a tough thing to do in my experience. Unlike virtually every other Breitling model, E box sets are very pricey second hand and hard to come by. I have owned many E's in the last few years and have bought both with and without box sets; the ones without the box sets usually command $500-1000 less in the average sale than the complete package. Furthermore, the E's without boxes are just a tougher sell in the market place. Bear in mind that there are three different styles of boxes for the E and the set has to be age appropriate to the watch...JMHO |
