Can any body please explain the difference between Chronomat 13050 and 13050.1? Also would want to know The year of production of 13050.1 ? Thanks |

The suffix ".1" indicates an improvement typically not apparent on the case. Some Breitlings model numbers added ".1" when Luminova was introduced in 1998. Not sure if that is true with the Chronomat GT, but the look of the watch wouldn't be different. |

I think in the Chronomat the .1 was introduced with the slightly revised hands - most obvious visual difference was the lumed chrono seconds. |

Mid to late 90's (I believe it was indeed 1998) the Valjoux 7750 ebauche (Breitling's caliber 13) provided to Breitling was updated from 17 to 25 jewels. BUSA actually replaced the 17J version in my 1990 Old Navitimer (at no charge and without prior communication regarding the change) with the 25J version during a standard overhaul service in 1998. I am 98% certain this is the reason the A13050 Chronomat was redesignated with the A13050.1 model number on the case as production continued until the larger case A13055 Chronomat was introduced.
