Hi, first post, so be gentle with me.......

I have an Avenger, which I absolutely love, had for about 6 months. I wear it every day.

However, it seems to be loosing time, every day 10 seconds or more - Is this normal?

Are there any precautions I should be takling to prevent this or shoudl I get it checked out by Breitling?

Thanks
Mark

COSC specs are -4/+6, so -10 is clearly not within that tolerance. So, this is something it must be checked out.

If it is consistently losing 10 secs a day it might need just a regulation. If, despite the regulation, it cannot maintain the COSC level of performance, then it definitely needs Breitling's attention.

It may even be in for a service. Service intervals is 5 to 7 years from the day the watch was produced (not the day you bought it). You mentioned that you own the SA for 6 months, so it depends if you bought new.

Start off by laying the watch on its side crown up overnight if you don't already as that will help slightly, but definitely needs regulating by a watchmaker.

Thanks for the replies.

I did buy new and that is the way I leave the watch overnight.

I will get it checked out.

Say, Roff, I had the same advice for my Rolex submariner-gone to buy my great montbrillant Olympus. Tell me, how should a watch rest at night if it is gaining time? My olympus.

It will tend to run slower when laid on its back.

Hi Mark
I have owned a Super Avenger for a year now and love it.
My watch also stopped keeping time, in fact it stopped all together. It seemed to happen with in conjunction with the stop watch function. No amount of self winding would start it again.
My watch was sent away and regulated. I had it back a week and have experienced that same trouble again. It has been sent away again.
I will keep you posted on the progress.
Rgds
Matt
