Does anyone know of any after market products that can fill in small (not too deep) scratches on the crystal of a watch?? My watch has a small (looks like an eye lash) 1/4 inch or smaller half moon.. its in between the (superocean and the date window) I know its really small but I just got this watch...
FROM WHAT I HAVE BEEN TOLD ITS ON THE AR COATING NOT THE LENSE CRYSTAL..

Thanks
:(

It would only be the AR coating, but unfortunately there's nothing you can do about it yourself other than getting it recoated by an aftermarket watch customiser. Other than that you'll have to wait until service time, and then you can get it replaced..... for a price of course.

Yes you can remove the AR coating with Cape Cod polishing cloths if you want to go that route instead, but I thought you wanted to keep the AR.

Polywatch will remove the AR coating if that's what you are trying to achieve.

It won't remove the AR scratch, but may remove the AR if that is what you want to do. It is a polishing/scratch removal compound for plastic crystals, not sapphire like your crystal. Seems it would be less abrasive than a Cape Cod, so it shouldn' hurt.
[Edit - got beat on this point - read the more important point below]

Man, you aren't wasting any time. Why not just give it a couple weeks and see if it really is bugging you that much. You will lose a lot by removing the outer AR even though most brands don't put it on. You may regret losing the full effect of the AR as opposed to a keeping a scratch no one else can see.

:yeahthat I'm as OCD as they come about scratches, but I'd definitely just live with a scratch that size until service time. As Sharkman says, the benefits of the AR far outweigh the distraction of a scratch that size IMO. But at the end of the day it's your watch, so the choice is yours.
