Post subject: | Aerospace maintenance |
Hi all! I have an Aerospace (F85062) and last week I noticed that the watch started to have problems keeping on time; loosin about 15 minutes in an Hr!!! I send it to an authorized Breitling service and they told me the problem was in the movement and it had to be replaced, cost: Us$700. I decided not to repair it at that moment. But I when I went to pick it up from the service I noticed that it was working perfectly!!!! The question is: ¿what could have been the problem?¿Is it normal in a 10 year old watch?¿Do this kind of watch, with quartz movement, need some kind of lubrication or something? Thank you all in advance. |

I've had quartz watches in the past require an actual maintenance every 5-6 years in addition to battery changes. Post also moved to Breitling Help forum... |

I changed the battery a year ago, besides, the aerospace tell you when it`s running out of battery by blinking the lcd displays. The thing I didn`t like was that I may have wasted $700 in a perfectly working watch. I didn`t expect that from an official Breitling service. They told me the movement it`s a sealed unit and they only can change it for a new one. ¿Do they lubricate this kind of watches? T. you. |
