They also quote someone form BS forum:

Seller Comment: This is a quote from a Breitling expert with their details FYI. "It is an Old Navi II, but since I used Catalogue dates for the watches, the 1993 catalog actually shows watches that were released after the 92 catalog, so yours is an early Old Navi 2. Now, correct me if I am wrong, it is not an Old Navy II - which has different Ref. numbers, red tip and anchor B on a second hand, sapphire and was produced from 1993?

No doubt it's original.

It's being sold as an Old Navy II, in fact it's not, just an Old Navy - am I right?

The seller refers to BS, wonder who made this statement then:

As I already said, yes it's an Old Navitimer.

In terms of who made the statement, well according to the quote - Admin.

I got a baby due in a couple weeks, I'm a groomsman for my buddy's wedding in a couple days, and we got a masterplan community condominium project that we are launching in a couple months - gimme a break!

As I mentioned in the email, its a Old Navitimer I, not II. Answering emails quickly (I get lots) sometimes gets me in trouble. If I knew they were going to use my comments as "expert" and use them to flog their goods, I will not identify anything for anyone anymore. I don't want to take the liability for someone else trying to sell their own goods.

the A/B/D/K etc. prefix for steel/plated/steel-gold/gold came with the "new" model number system introduced in the mid 80s.

not sure regarding the 81610 automatic, but for the 81600 Lemania it was -1 for steel, -2 for plated, -3 for solid, but this was not inscribed on the watches as far as I have seen (can only say regarding steel and plated, have not seen a solid gold piece from this period).
