Hi guys,

I just bought me a SOSF from 2010 but as I was looking in the forum on reviews about the Steelfish, I now begin to worry about the real purchasedate.
On the documents I got, there is no date mentioned, the buyer assured me it was purchased trough an AD begin 2010.
I first tought this must be right indeed, because the seconds hand on the SOSF is an arrow and not an 'avenger' seconds hand (the newest versions all have an arrowpoint and not a squaredot)
But as i was looking into the steelfish reviews and looking at other pictures of older steelfishes (from 2007), I saw these are also with the arrow point??!!
So now is my question: as I don't have any date of my Steelfish, and because to me it seems that the 2007 version is just the same as the 2010-2011 version, how can I be sure that my Steelfish is indeed one from 2010? Are there maybe minuscule differences between the oldest version and the newest version? (I'm not speaking about the Steelfish XL and also not about all other Steelfishes with the square dot seconds hands but only about the difference between an arrowed Steelfish from 2007 and an arrowed Steelfish from 2010-2011)

Many thanks already,

John

No, they are identical in all respects. Just because a watch was purchased in 2010 does not mean it was manufactured in 2010. Remove the bracelet from the 6:00 side and you will find a date stamp between the lugs on the side of the case. It will show you the week (in numbers 1-52) and year of manufacture. Just know it would not be unusual to buy a Breitling in 2010 that was manufactured in 2008.

DAMM You guys are fast!! Many thanks, that's really useful and I must say i'm sorry not to look further in the FAQ section.
I looked there but (as my motherlanguage isn't english) i thought that ''dating" would mean to me 'going out with a girlfriend'...
So I just learned something new again! :D

thanks again, i will check it as soon as my watch arrives (I hope withing a few days, comes from Greece and I made the transfer yesterday)
I was looking for a Seawolf first but maybe that's still a bit out of my range, the steelfish is really a good alternative IMO.

Regards,
John
