Post subject:  Brushed steel and gold bracelet for Crosswind Racing???

Just bought a crosswind racing B13355 with 356a bracelet. The steel on both the case and the bracelet is brushed. Did Breitling ever produce a two tone pilot bracelet for this watch with brushed steel?

Can anyone tell me if a 20/18mm bracelet will fit this watch or is it an another size..?

Thanks :)

I do not think the Crosswind came with the TT Pilot brushed but it may have been done as a aftermarket option.

Crosswinds have 22mm lugs so no to the second question.

Thanks, but the answer leads to a new question...

Does anybody know if a brushed steel and gold bracelet exists at all for my watch?

:)

As above Breitling did not sell them but they may "exist" as they may have been brushed aftermarket.

Because the satin brushed Crosswind Racing has polished steel crown, pushers and bezel screws, the all polished SS 350A is specified for the watch in addition to the all satin brushed SS 356A bracelet. The solid 18K gold 350K bracelet is specified for the limited edition all 18K yellow gold Crosswind Racing. There was no two tone bracelet specified for the CWR but the standard two tone 350D specified for the standard B13355 Crosswind fits just fine because the case/interhorn geometry is identical. The SS link segments (3 of the 5 in each link), end links (4) and clasp are all polished SS on the 350D two tone bracelet. Breitling apparently felt that the brushed satin on the two tone CWR case wouldn't blend well with the 350D bracelet. The two tone CWR is all satin SS except for 18K rider tabs, bezel screws, crown/pushers, hands and subdials. If Breitling had brushed the polished segments on a 350D (and given it a new model number) the full polish at overhaul time would have required bracelet disassembly in order to polish the gold segments and rebrush the satin SS segments. Take a look at 2003 or 2004 Chronolog and/or the 2004 sales handbook and it will all make sense to you I'm sure. Hope this helps...
Best,
Ron
