Hello. I work with a ton of electronics, some of them are pretty old and probably emit tons of electricity into the air. I have a Super Ocean Steelfish and I notice that at the end of every month, it is exactly 4 minutes fast. I think it is something to do with all the electric gear. I reset it each month on the first, and by the 25th or so, 4 minutes is added to the clock.

The repair guy at the dealer measured it and said it right on the money...

Anyone else have these problems?

Magnets definitely affect mechanical watches, but at 4 minutes a month I doubt that is the cause, that would be much more likely to be 4 minutes a day (or hour).

How old is the watch, it may just need a service, if not a regulation should solve the issue, COSC specs are -4 / +6 seconds per day, which at one extreme is 3 minutes a month so it's not far out of spec. i would ask the dealer to provide a print out from their timing machine in different positions if they are claiming that it doesn't have an error.
