Hello. I work with a ton of electronics, some of them are pretty old and probably emit tons of electricity into the air. I have a Super Ocean Steelfish and I notice that at the end of every month, it is exactly 4 minutes fast. I think it is something to do with all the electric gear. I reset it each month on the first, and by the 25th or so, 4 minutes is added to the clock. The repair guy at the dealer measured it and said it right on the money... Anyone else have these problems? ![]() |

Magnets definitely affect mechanical watches, but at 4 minutes a month I doubt that is the cause, that would be much more likely to be 4 minutes a day (or hour). How old is the watch, it may just need a service, if not a regulation should solve the issue, COSC specs are -4 / +6 seconds per day, which at one extreme is 3 minutes a month so it's not far out of spec. i would ask the dealer to provide a print out from their timing machine in different positions if they are claiming that it doesn't have an error. |
