So my Breitling Avenger Seawolf was dead today when I woke up. I pulled my crown out to position 1 and wound it for about 3-4 minutes to fully charge it. All of a sudden I started to actually feel the winding mechanism move as I was turning it. I thought that I overwound it so I gave it about 5 hours and it is still doing the same exact thing when I pull the crown out to position 1. Is this normal? Is this something that I need to get serviced? Any help would be great. Thank you BS. -Ryan |

It's impossible to overwind an automatic watch. I'm not sure what you mean by feeling the winding mechanism move. If you mean the rotor then that can occasionally occur and if it is a one off - i.e. after a day or so then everything returns to normal, then I wouldn't worry. If it happens every time then you should get it checked out. |

Roff - thank you for the reply. Yes I feel the rotor swinging as I turn the crown. This also makes it very difficult to turn to almost to the point where I am fighting to get the crown sealed when I push it in. |
