I notice on all the leather staps by Breitling, they have a code on, for instance, mine is 428X - what does this mean and why are they all different? Anyone?? Just curious as obviously the 20/18 is the lug and I presume the 18 is the clasp end size? Yes? Please someone educate me! |

20 / 18 means 20mm at the lug 18mm at the clasp. The code is for the combo of colour and type of leather. |

Thanks for that and you seem to be the guy in the know, is there a list that depicts all the strap codes available? On another note where can I get a manual or instruction booklet for an early chronomat 48 model? many thanks Dave |

You can try asking an AD for the manual, but may have to try eBay. |
