Okay I give and need help. I am a new owner of a Superocean Professional and love it. However I am a rabid tinkerer and perfectionist, Can't seem to leave things alone and just have to sort out the smallest detail. So armed with all the great articles on this forum I now own many fine new watch tools for my insanity. Enough of me' here's the problem. I searched the forum but couldn't find an answer. I disassembled the professional bracelet and cleaned the extension links. When I pulled the clasp spring bars for the divers extension and adjustment they were both corroded and frozen on 1 side and the pivot and spring are loose and unattached on the other. They are 18 mm long x 1.5 mm dia double shoulder spring bars. I contacted Breitling USA but they will not supply parts. Ordered some from Otto Frei but they do not fit, the pivot diameter is too small, and they did not have Swiss made. I am going to send to BUSA for overhaul but would like to wear a little before I do. I am 200 miles from LA or SF California, the nearest ADs. Anyone know where I can get some? The shipping from Otto frei is rather expensive as Roff pointed out. Oh and I mic'd the case spring bars and they are 20mm X 1.8mm dia on professional bracelet. Thank You all! I log on almost everyday and start with new posts to see what new intelligence I can gather. |

I always get a bunch from my AD when I need them, so it might be phoning an AD and see if they'll drop some in the mail. |

Thanks Roff for the reply. I have called JD Watchworks and Goverbergs and have gotten the same reply. "They are authorized Breitling Dealers/Repair centers and cannot sell parts." A Very heartfelt thanks to all the E-Bay scammers out there (sarcasm intended.) We now arrive at the conundrum for the day....with all my nice new Swiss tools how to engage in my newest obsession if I can't get basic parts? Oh and they need to be Breitling as the Chinese stuff is not even close to the quality. Wish I had your AD nearby! |
