Hey all, just bought my first breitling a month ago (navitimer world with bracelet and black face and dials) and I'm in love with it. I'm starting to see tiny scratches on the band which hurts my heart. Is there a safe product out there that I can use to get the scratches out periodically?

Thanks for the help.

Do a search here for sunshine or cape cod. Either cloth will work well and there are dozens of threads on the subject.

You will also need to get used to desk diving marks - they are a fact of life!

Thanks for the answer. Is it safe for the bracelet? I just worry that something abrasive would be bad for the watch in the long run. Listen to me, I'm treating this damn thing like a kid lol....

As has been discussed, they are abrasives so they will take fractional amounts of metal away, but it's going to take a very long time of polishing to make the bracelet disappear.

Thank you sir... Can these safely be used around the crystal or only on the band?

You better cover/protect the crystal before any Cape Cod use. Same for all brushed surfaces.

Thanks Tomcat...I just read the same somewhere else. Any particular way advisable to cover those surfaces?

Most people just use masking tape and a piece of paper cut to cover the crystal.
