Hi,
This is my first post although I have enjoyed reading posts on this website for some time. I have a problem I think, with my B-1. This morning when I went to work and had to put a flight plan in for a flight I had to put the UTC time down. I looked at my trusty B-1 and the digital part was all over the place. I couldn't do anything with it. Normally I know how to change the time on anologue when changing time zones, the date etc but apart from UTC, time and date I don't use too many more functions. I'm in the Solomon Islands at the moment and my instructions are far away from me. The watch has sorted itself out to a point. When I turn the crown it goes through all the digital functions but when I pull the crown out to change a certain function turning the crown does not change anything. The buttons work to move through hour, minutes, day, date etc but turning the crown while it is out does nothing. The date is wrong and the digital time is wrong which I would like to get right again. Also the alarm is on which I have never used. Is the watch in need of repair or am I doing something wrong? The watch is about 2 years old, bought new. Will not be back in my home country or even a developed country for another month. Sorry about the long and dull post but thanks so much in advance for any help. :(

sounds like a low power glitch, If you use the illuminator a couple of times in succession, does it go wacky again?? if so...time for a new battery

funnily enough, there seems to be a glut of b1's going bonkers over the last few days!

Ah Doctor, I think you might have something there. The light doesn't work anymore and hasn't done for a few months. Having said that I thought that the watch gave you a low battery warning? I never really used it, the illuminating function, or the alarm but I don't know how long the watch had been sitting in Watches of Switzerland before I bought it. UTC works, the time is right so I guess I will just take it in when I get back to the developed world. Thank you.

Easier still, here's a Rapidshare link. 20MB file which includes the whizz wheel instructions.
