I am wondering if anything will go wrong over time by leaving a watch such as the B01 unwound and sitting in a box for extended periods of time, only taking it out to manually wind it once in a great while.

You should try to at least wind it and use the chrono monthly to keep the oils dispersed properly.

Yeah as long as it gets a full wind and the chrono operated once a month you will be fine. Modern oils are designed to stay where they are put, but over time they will migrate away from the friction points if the watch isn't run.

Thank you. There's a lot to learn about watches such as this. I have already found out a lot by researching the forum. It's cool to find so many people in one place that like Breitlings!
