Can anyone recommend a good source in the USA to purchase a 22mm rubber pro diver strap. I think they retail for well over $250, which seems crazy for a rubber strap.

Welcome aboard Frank,

There are two rubber straps available: the Diver Pro which you mentioned, retails for around US$75. It is a solid rubber strap that has Breitling embossed on it and has a traditional stainless pin/buckle fastener. It's available from any authorized dealer (AD). You can go the Breitling website to find the one nearest you.

The second one in the Ocean Racer. It's the one with the holes in it, much thicker than the Diver Pro and has a polished stainless steel deployant clasp. I believe the rubber and the clasp are sold separately or together. As a set, they are around US$350 I don't know how that breaks out a la carte, but I do know the majority of the cost is the clasp. They are also available through any AD.

Unfortunately, I have not seen or heard of any place that offers a discount on either of these straps. I can tell you that I own both, and the Ocean Racer quality is top-notch. If any rubber strap/clasp is worth $350, it's that one. The Diver Pro I also find to be nice change to a bracelet for my SuperOcean -- I would also rate that one as worth it.

I hope that helps. Good luck.

Thanks, I have a deployant clasp so perhaps I'll try to find the strap to go with it.

Unfortunately, the regular deployant clasp (the kind used for leather straps) won't work with either of the rubber straps.

Check this out:

You'll see what I mean.
