Hi had my Old Navi fully serviced last july now the crown seems hard to wind the only way to describe it is it feels like its turning through a partly seized up mechanism and makes my fingers sore anyone got any ideas, I am in France and it was serviced in UK thanks for any ideas

That's somewhat relative, but if it has suddenly started then there may bean issue. If it's been like it ever since service thenit's probably just the tight tolerances on reassembly - I have a number of Navitimers that are harder to wind than some others - even the new Navi 01.

No Roff its been fine until today I think the only way to go is back to BUK Its not just tight it feels like its rusty inside although it cant be,having said that it is running OK but I supose thats what the guarantee on their work is for, just makes it hard as I am in France and wouldnt trust their postal system with my pride and joy so looks like Im on a plane soon back to UK

Well had the Navi done and they replaced the crown,I sent Mrs Alinfrance,s Callistino with it for the battery change they are both fine now and all within two weeks.Must say always had exceptional sevice from BUK,battery was £87 but they cleaned it and replaced the seals for that price.
