I purchased a Breitling Galactic 36 Automatic watch on November 4, 2010 from the Breitling Boutique (Little Switzerland) in St. Thomas. Ever since I have owned it, which has not even been 3 months, the watch has not functioned correctly. The watch keeps stopping while it is on my wrist. Sometimes it starts back up, but now has completely shit the bed. I have tried winding it, changing the date, changing the time, and giving it a shake, but no luck. I have tried to get some satisfaction from the store where it was purchased but they keep giving me the runaround. Not only do they not care about follow-up with customers, the watch was about $800 cheaper in the U.S. This watch was very expensive for our pocketbooks and am very disappointed with Breitling. I have owned two Tag Heuer watches with great success. Any suggestions other than sending it in for repair?

Well if it's not working then it has to go to Breitling for repair. Contact BUSA in CT and you'll likely be far more successful.

More than likely you've already tried this but I just wanted to check. Have you given it the full 40 winds and then worn it daily or are you relying only on wrist movement and perhaps wearing it only occasionally? If you are doing the later then there may not be enough power in the power reserve to keep it running.

If you have given it the full 40 winds and it stops before the 42 hour reserve is exhausted
(or doesn't run at all) then I would do as Roff said and contact Breitling.

I've given it 40 winds. Thanks for replying. :/
