Post subject:  duration of winding

In have just bought a new Breitling for Bentley watch and as it is a mechanical winding mechanism and the instructions say to wind it 40 winds of the crown. Would anyone be able to tell me how long the watch will run if I give it the 40 winds please?

Welcome to the site. A full 40 winds should get you ~42 hours of power reserve.
