Hi guys,

Forgive the dumb question but should an automatic piece be left overnight on its back or on its side?

I always leave mine flat but Mrs Swiftnick just picked up a SuperOcean Heritage 38 and immediately wanted to rest it on its side.

Who's right?

Thanks,

Nick

As long as You have it the same way every night, it does not matter. You can regulate a watch to different positions, and they don't like changes.
Only point: never put the watch on the side, so that the crown looks downward. That is the least favorable position for a mechanic watch.
