Hi. I just bought the Navitimer and was wondering how often I should wind the watch. I wound it (clockwise) for 40 turns when I first got it. If the watch sits for a while how long should the battery reserve last? Do I need to rewind 40 times everytime it stops or just reset the time and wear it? Thx!

it doesnt have a battery but the power reserve should last 42hrs from fully wound, if you wear it daily there will be no need to wind it.

if its in a rotation id wind it every 24 hrs keep it accurate as it gets less accurate the more run down the mainspring gets

Well assuming it's a recent auto navi it has a clutch to stop you being able To overwind it. So wind away. I normally let mine run down to make sure the mainspring isn't always at full tension but no idea if this helps anything

I usually enjoy giving mine a good 15 so winds while it is on my wrist, and wear the watch about 40 hours a week. Never have a problem with running out of reserve unless I leave for a few days and carry the diver.

More importantly Welcome to the source. Prob the best watch site on the web, let alone for Breitling. Throw some pics up with an intro.
