How can they sell a Breitling Headwind like new (2010) when the production ended 2005?

Is there watches lying around five years like that?

Definitely.

It was discontinued because it wasn't immensely popular and there could well be NOS pieces sitting in ADs for that length of time. A year ago I tried to negotiate for a gold one and couldn't get the AD down to a reasonable price so it's probably still sitting there.
