Post subject: | What straps fit |
Hi I bought Old model Chronospace (-1998) just a second ago. Now I'm looking for a strap but refuse to buy 400e+ priced orginal bracelet because it's too much if you compaire whats the watch worth of. Does this strap fits to my watch ? http://cgi.ebay.com/20mm-5-ROW-SS-PILOT ... 53ddb52cd2 And another questions is does all 20mm sized straps fits to my watch or how do I know what fits and what doesnt ? Thanks already !! |

Pretty much any leather or rubber strap will as they have straight edges and don't curve into the case. You can get bracelets that have straight ends and so will fit but there will be a gap which can look unsightly. Each case seems to have a unique curve and also where the spring bars are placed so you need to be 100% sure that it will fit your model. NATO are also a good cheap option. Rolex Submariner owners seem to think so but that is because it makes them look like James Bond. Attached is a picture showing a straight edged bracelet on a watch (not a Breitling but shows you what it will look like). |

The link that you posted will not fit. The Chronospace already takes straight end links so the gap issue that IanUK mentioned doesn't exist, but you can't just put any bracelet on there and have it fit. The bracelet that you need is a Pro I, but don't know what the end link code is on one of this age. Others may fit as the end links are straight, but I would try before committing money. As said, any leather or rubber with the correct lug width will fit. |

Thousand thanks for your replys, they'll clear much my bracelet hunting. Here are few pics, maybe these will clear more: http://yfrog.com/1nimg2437uwj http://yfrog.com/j3img2440qj From Roffensias post, I couldn't understand what is "Pro I" ? Is it bracelet type ? So I dont have to search "chronospace" bracelet, as long as it's Pro I style bracelet, it will fit ? And then "don't know what the end link code is" What is the end link code ? Some series on number bethween the case and the strap ? |

Some series on number bethween the case and the strap ? Pro I is the name of the style of bracelet that was used on this watch (called Professional at the time, but now known as Pro I as it was replaced by the Pro II) - http://www.breitlingsource.com/bracelet ... onal.shtml The bracelets have different end links - the link that goes closest to the case on each side. You can't just use any Pro I, you need the one with the right endlinks for the Chronospace, and I don't have anything that old to find the reference number. |
