Post subject:  Help and advise on Navitimer - A41322

Hi Folks!!

I'm the proud owner of a Navitimer 50th Anniversary Edition A41322 with Black Dial and am extremely happy with my timepiece

However, I just have some questions which i'm hoping some or one of you would be kind enough to answer...

1. With the Navitimers technical interior, Is it safe to wear this watch playing golf?? (I'm hoping there's some golfers in here!:))

2. Sometimes when I remove the watch overnight, it stops working temperailly and activates itself again some hours later after wearing it. I understand they have a power-reserve?? Is this normal???

3. When this happens, I try to wind the watch and nothing happens... It seems to wind itself after some hours of wear. This can often be as long as 5 - 6 hours. Can someone please advise of the correct winding procedure regarding this occurance??

4. What is the best solution of cleaning your watch without having to send it away? Any items spring to mind?

Thank you for viewing this post, hoping for some good advise on this!! :)

1. Yes, it's safe to play golf with Navi.
2. No, wind it manually about 40 turns, than it will have full power reserve.
3. Pull the crown once (one click) and give it 40 turns (clockwise).
4. Navi is water resistant, but people here don't like it wet.

:yeahthat

with the addition, most breitlings OTHER than the navi range benefit from an soapy water wash with an old toothbrush.....DON'T do that with a navi.......I tend to use spray screen/glasses cleaner (alcohol free one) and a microfiber cloth to polish them and a cape cod cloth to remove scratches (DON'T use a cape cod cloth on brushed finish metal)

Just to point out that the Navi is not water resistant. The 30 m indicated by Breitling means that it is splash proof (ie a rainy day when you get a few drops on it). Do not go swimming with it - you'll regret it.

I would not go golfing with any mechanical watch.

The shock of the impact of the club on the ball can damage the fine parts of the movement in the long run. Professional golf watches like the TAG Heuer Golfwatch, pocketwatches on a chain or cheap throwawaycrapwatches should be prefered for golfing.

I agree with Alien, plus the glare from the watch on the green while you are putting will give you something extra to think about which will in turn make you miss your putt! trust me i know =(
