Post subject:  Navi Legende winding paranoia

I've seen a thread on here that mentioned the Navi series being 'hard' to wind...cant find it now.
My Legende seemed very stiff to wind today, stiffer than normal. It keeps great time, no problems otherwise. Just how much resistance on a Navi winder is a cause for concern ? Anyone put my mind at rest ?

Are you complaining of sudden, unwanted stiffness there Ewen? Can be an unwelcome thing at times!

:) I've no problems in the leg end department, indeed those qualities are the stiff of legends.
However, I am genuinly concerned about my Legende.

Especially when trying to use the loo in the morning.

Your levity implies I'm worrying about nothing ?
I havent been this paranoid about 'symptoms' since the kids were babies :)

 Ha ha, sorry Ewen, yeah we are being a little flippant over this! :D But I think the reason is because we don't actually know if it's a prob or not (your Legende that is!). As Vanessa hasn't stepped in with any words of wisdom on this one, then maybe it isn't a prob, but I guess a trip to your AD may be the only way to be sure....

This might seem silly but I've noticed that if the watch is warm, ie just off the wrist, it is stiffer to wind than if the watch is cold (only ones without a screw down crown)

I've always attributed it to temp causing the crown tube/winder to expand a miniscule amount but the gaskets to be less flexible.....this of course might be absolute mince but it seems plausible to me....however I know about bodies and blood, not watches and winders!

I have no problems at all winding my Legende. It winds very smoothly. If yours have started to behave un-smoothly, I really suggest a trip to the AD to check it out.
