Post subject:  Need advice on Breitling Superocean

Hi,
I am new to the site and looking for my first Breitling. I have my mind set on a Superocean A17360 (Black). But I like the Professional I braclet...Can you still get them on new watches or should I be looking on the forum for a slightly used SO? What is the best price from an AD people have seen on a SO? Is there anything else I should be looking for or thinking about before I make the plunge?
Looking forward to hearing your advice. Thanks, Bob

Pro I bracelets are not available new anymore, so yes you will be looking to the second hand market if you have your heart set on one. Just as an aside, the Pro II is a technically better bracelet, and has less lateral play in it than the Pro I.

I've owned watches with both, and IMHO the Pro II is a much better bracelet - each to his own though.

I do agree that the PRO II is a better bracelet. However, having said that, I had the PRO I on my SuperOcean that I owned since 1997. I wore that
watch every day for 10 years, then one of the links on the bracelet gave out and could not be repaired or replaced. I wore the watch at work, in a print shop where my hands were in machinery all the time, and even at the gym. If you do get your hands on a PRO I I would not worry at all about the durability.
cheers,
Carl
