Hello, I have a navitimer Chrono-Matic 49. I have never been able to use it in full performance. I wind the watch in turning the crone more than 50, but it can work for a couple of minutes. Does it make sense to anyone? Is there a trick in winding? Maybe I do something wrong.. Regards, |

No it really doesn't make sense to me. It's a non-screw down crown, right? If so, it should be wound with the crown pushed all the way in and 30-40 clockwise turns should be plenty. If it only runs for a couple minutes and is being wound properly, there is definitely a problem. |

Yes, there is no need to pull the crown to wind. A mechanical sound can be heard also in winding which means I do correctly the winding. In this model, is there a way to see how much power reserve exist? |

In this model, is there a way to see how much power reserve exist? No way to check power reserve other than fully wind and let the watch sit. Keep track of how long it winds. If you aren't wearing it daily and it's not on a winder, mkae sure you give it a manual wind before you put it on. You may need to take it to your AD. |

Just because you can hear a mechanical sound doesn't mean that the watch is winding properly, there could be a problem anywhere in the keyless works. As said, it definitely needs to be checked by Breitling. |

Thank you guys. I'll give it to the Breitling for the service. A last question: how can I be sure that the watch is fully wound? Am I supposed to get a reaction from the watch. For example some brands do not allow the user to continue to wind once it is fully wound. |

You might be able to feel a slight difference when fully wound, but it's not obvious. 40 turns should be enough to be fully wound, not guaranteed way to tell. |
