I would like to know how I can set the date on my 7806 Navitmer. I am aware of the 8pm to 3am "no go" aspect but before attempting anything I would like to be absolutely sure of the procedure. Does the 7806 have a quick set option or do I simply need to wind-on 24hrs + ?

Thanks Roff, works perfectly as you described it! Incidentally, did the Navitimer get a quick set date function and if so when?

Some of the modern ones do, some don't - the 'classic' current Navitimer does not.
