Sorry if this subject has been discussed before - couldn't find any info.

I was wondering when the boxes changed from the leatherette type to the modern bakelite type.

I know the boxes have changed again recently but not sure exactly when.

Also I've seen yellow & blue leatherette types - where some for specific models?

Interesting to help when looking at a watch to help with authentication.

Any help would be appreciated. Cheers
