Hi, Got this UTC module (e70176) just recently in not going condition, my watchmaker has done some work on it (replaced a whole movement or most probably partially replaced some parts). Now... It's a 24-hour movement, when I'm trying to set it and rotate a minute hand, half a circle will move an hour hand by one hour and a full circle will move it by two hours - does it sound ok to you or it actually means that my watchmaker didn't fix it properly? If it as it ought to be, how would you change the time then?? Thanks |

so one turn of the minute hand moves the hour hand forward by one hour and two full turns of the hour hand moves it forward two hours correct? |

sure the minute hand should do one full rotation per hour on 24 hr dials so what you described sounds wrong to me |

I can't recall what the base movement of the caliber 70 is, but you may not need to have the whole movement replaced, it will just need 24 hour gearing. If your watchmaker still has the movement that he removed then he may be able to use those gears. |

I too am dealing with UTC 24hr because I just wanted a grey dial to match my F56061 Aerospace; bought one but broken movement that I'm trying to mix/match with another UTC i won by surprise with a lowball bid on ebay white dialed. Anyone able to confirm that the conventional Ronda732(1032) quartz movement will accept the 24hr movement's gears and if true which of these three "flavors" of the Ronda: MOVMENT RONDA 732/1032 2 HANDS FAR EAST HOUR WHEEL HEIGHT 1.03MM TOTAL HEIGHT 3.20MM MOVMENT RONDA 732/1032 HCP2 HOUR WHEEL HEIGHT 1.33MM TOTAL HEIGHT 3.50MM MOVMENT RONDA 732/1032 HCP3 HOUR WHEEL HEIGHT 1.73MM TOTAL HEIGHT 4.00MM Also does anyone know what the length of hands work in a UTC as the Ronda suppliers have .40/.80mm hands for <$10. This combo is for personal use not to be offered on resale market. Here's something of interest from BUSA to that end: Good Afternoon, Regretfully we would be unable to take the movement from the 12 hour UTC and install it in a 24 UTC. It is also strict Breitling policy that parts are not returned. This helps prevent counterfeit or “frankenstein” watches from being produced using authentic Breitling parts. Good news for maintaining our Breitling values and word of caution to all for due diligence as both a buy & seller in the resale marketplace. Thanks in advance to all |
