I have noticed that on my SA the pushers that have texture to them are not aligned the same (the lines are not going in the same direction) Obviously, you cant turn them to have the lines on both of them run the exact same direction/degree angle. Am I being too picky here? It looks like on Breitlings website theirs do not match exactly either, it looks as though one is turned a bit more than the other.

Secondly, the B on my crown when tightened down is not standing up. Its actually laying on its side with the flat side of the B towards my skin and the two bumps faceing up. Is this normal? I thought that the B usually faced just like you would read it.

Hope this makes sense..I will add pics if needed.

I thouight this is how everything should look. I can understand the B being a little off like in this picture. That would be okay with me.

Even though this pic is a bit blurry this is more of what mine looks like. Is this normal? Am I being too picky? Is what causes this just that when put together, what direction the crown was put on to the stem etc?

None of my hallmark "b"s on the crwons are perfectly upright and many are closer to perfectly upside down. So I'd say your crown deal is normal.

As for the cross-hatching on pushers, all I can tell you is they're not perfectly aligned on my Skyland.

Trying to get the B perfect consistently is virtually impossible - you have to have the crown stem tube inserted perfectly considering hte threads, then have the crown stem threads machined perfectly relative to the B on the crown, it's just not practical so if they are vertical it's pure luck.

As for the pushers I suspect that they are machine applied on to the rods without any consideration of alignment.

I figured that was the deal with the crown. I just know that my Bentley 6.75 was perfect. Lucky I guess.

Roff, what do you mean about the pushers? Sorry a little confused. The lines are perfectly perpendicular to eachother on each pusher its just like each pusher isnt turned in such a way that the lines angle the same direction when comparing the two pushers...I am sure your response makes sense but Im just a tad confused.

Thanks again for the response guys.

The pusher is attached to a pusher stem that goes through the case and into the movment to activate the chronograph mechanism.

To have the pushers visually lined up that would require the pushers to be inserted through the case and engaged with the movement perfectly and then never moved until the watch was sealed up - not very practical.

Gotcha I figured we were both on the same page. At first I thought maybe that you thought I was talking about the actual lines on each pusher were exactly perpendicular. Thanks for the info once again!!

BTW, think Im taking the plunge on that new piece we talked about. Im just waiting on a little more info from George. Maybe you can answer...Is the case polished or brushed? Or both? If both which parts are which?

Thanks again for all your help and kindness guys!

Polished from memory - I'll check.
