Post subject: | Bentley GT in a Watch Winder |
I have a Bentley GT racing and it wont stay wound in my winder. The winder has three settings, 650,850 and 1050 turns per hour and turns in both directions. What am I doing wrong? How should I set the winder? Thanks. ![]() ![]() |

First off, welcome aboard. Now a couple questions. Is it possible your watch is not fully wound when it gets put on the winder? If so, it may be running out, getting wound by the winder, and then running out again while the winder cycles. Does the watch hold a "charge" when you wind it by hand. In other words, if you hand wind it does it keep ticking for approximately 40 hours? Does the watch remain running if you wear it every day? If you answered "no" to the second or third question I suggest taking it in to get it looked at. If you answered yes to the first one, you must just want to hand-wind it fully before it gets put on the winder. Hope this helps. Good luck. |

I wore it today and it ran fine. After I bought it I never manually wound it before I started to wear it, do I need to?? I set the winder to the max number of turns? Im not sure what else to do. Greg ![]() |

Yes, give him 35-40 turns. |

Yeah, it sounds like you may need to wind it before it goes on the winder. It continues to run while you're wearing it because it auto-winds, but it sounds like it doesn't auto-wind itself all the way to "full". Just wind it completely before it goes on the winder and it sounds like you should be fine. You cannot overwind the watch so don't worry about damaging it by winding it. |
