Quick question, I did loads of research before I bought my Emergency (thanks again George) and I noticed on a couple of Emergencys, both reg and mission, that the Gray safety seal on the antenna knob has sometimes been Orange.
When you send your Emergency in to be serviced I know they change the seals but I would imagine they use the same gray seal right?
This is really just an observation! I have been on the lookout for a Pro Diver strap so trolling ebay, came across this one figured I would bring it up. It looks like the tab has been tampered with right?

I think those seals are prone to falling apart and then dropping out so not necessarily an indication that it's been used or tampered with.

I did a search on the seals but didnt come up with anything concrete about them failing but I guess if you have to have the batteries replaced every 3/4 years then they should always be fresh
I have some old scuba gear and them o-rings havent fell apart yet!
I should of asked if anyone on here has ever pulled out the antenna as it looks like to get that orange o-ring on, the knob has to be wound back quite a bit.

I was always under the same impression as you. Going back a few good years now when I had a yellow and a coral dial Emergency I used to notice some for sale showing the red collar and I assumed they had been activated but I was advised that was necessarily the case and that the seals were prone to falling apart. I always remain suspicious of any showing that red collar though!

Just found this today and they wont touch an Emergency without the offical gray safety seal, not that I would let them touch my watch anyways!!
