Hi all, wondering if anyone could help me. Bought a second hand emergency out of the paper about 8 years ago. Recently thought about selling the item. Unfortunately came with no box or papers. When i started thinking about this i remember that the bloke i bought it off was a bit dodgy looking. Is there any way that i can find out if the watch is cosha and not on crimewatch?? Its got a serial number on the back but dont know how to go about finding out its origins...Need Emergency Help

Drop into your nearest Breitling AD and get them to check it out with Breitling. They have a hotline through to them, so I reckon this will be the best way to check it out. I don't think there is a direct route to ask Breitling yourself, unlike Omega, but if there is I'm sure someone on here will know.

Here's another question: should the crown on my watch screw down? Because if it is mine won't do it.

Thanks!

No, non-screw down as it acts as a push piece for the digi functions

If it is really 8 years + in age, it must have had its battery changed in that time and therefore been checked by breitling (including the transmitter batteries (separate from the watch battery) ..Breitling would not have touched it if it wasn't genuine.

alternatively, pull the antenna and wait for the helicopter....helicopter arrival means its genuine (and gonna cost you big time for a false activation!)......no really, I was joking!!!

post or pm me some pics if you like and we'll see
