Just received a new World from George. Silver on black leather with deployment. Will post pics soon. Set the time and the date and the second time zone hand as well after reading the manual. Wondering what the subdials indicate on this watch and how to "set" them if need be. I have spent the last hour looking online for more information than what is contained in the included manual.....to no avail. Looked on the Breitling site as well. Hmmmmm. |

Firstly, congrats on the new purchase, I just picked up a white dial Navi World on a bracelet a few weeks ago. OK, here goes, no need to set the subdials The 6 o’clock subdial is the hour totalizer for the chronograph, if you leave the chrono running for 12 hours straight it will make one complete revolution and will reset to 12 o’clock when the chrono is reset. The 9 o’clock subdial is the running seconds, as long as the watch is wound and the crown is in this dial run. The 12 o’clock subdial is the minute totalizer for the chrono, it will advance by 1 minute each time the chrono seconds (large hand) makes a complete revolution around the dial and will reset to 12 o’clock when the chrono is reset. The large second hand is the chrono seconds, it will run when the chrono function is activated (top pusher) and return to 12 o’clock when the chrono is stopped then reset (bottom pusher) That should do it, remember not to set the date or wind time backwards between the hours of 8pm and 3am or you will risk damage to the date mechanism |

I wound the watch through all the days and thankfully the date wheel still turns, but on the 29-30th it changes 5 min early than the other dates that change at almost exactly 12am. So my question is, how much did i damage my watch? Also is my movement damaged or just the date wheel? Is my watch's time keeping ability compromised?? |
