Hi All,

Bit of a nooob on Brietlings and looking to buy my first; a 1995 Aerospace titanium - just like the simple lines compared to later models. It is via a private seller on ebay which is where my concerns set in. Have agreed what I feel is a good price for it for a deal etc but have real worries over ending up with a fake (not that I am suggesting this one is).

The seller states it was recently serviced by Brietling, which is a good thing and paperwork is available showing this; along with the original warranty card from the suppling shop.

I am guessing there are fake Aerospaces - are there key signs to look out for? I have compared the listed pics to other pics on wiki's for the same and look good - but am no expert on watches let alone Breitlings.

Should all Brietlings come in a bakerlite box? or was this a presentation option?
The one I am looking at is in a yellow cardboard style Breitling box - was this the style in 1995?

Probably a really wild out there question but what would one expect to pay for said time piece? I am in the UK.

Cheers for any and help and guidance.

-Steve

You mention eBay. Is the auction still active? If so, post a link to it.

Hi and welcome to the forum, 1995 boxes were usualy a yellow cardboard outer with a Faux-leather inside box, around this time they changed to a reddish marbled effect inner box with with a biplane cockpit outer. All fake Aerospace that i've seen have push pieces. If yours just has a crown it's probably ok. Steve

Just seen the link : It's genuine. :lingsrock:

Just had another look. Seller states F56062, That is a model with gold rider tabs/crown. This is E56062.

All the fakes have pusher buttons.

I would expect it to sell for around £500.

Oh wow! He was offering it to me for £800 due to the servicing, box and condition allegedly... seemed reasonable to the others listed on the bay... £800-2000+

It looks like a very sweet Aerospace, and they're GREAT watches!

You really need to decide what it's worth to you.

Check what you'd have to pay for a new Aerospace is, then discount it. Check out other used Aerospace watches, and see what they're going for!

Seeing how it has papers, boxes, and has just been serviced, looks like a very nice piece! Esp. if you're near the seller, and can actually see it before handing over your money! (I believe he says he'll deliver. To me, that's a good sign!)

Good luck!

Didn't notice it had just been serviced so make it circa £600/650.
