Hi. A tone tone pilot bracelet have come up on a auction site that seems to be genuine and will fit my particular chronomat. It is listed as good condition but it clearly has light marks/scratches. As it might fall within my budget my question is can it polished by a jewelers to look like new or is that a specialized job that would have to go back to breitling? I don't not know if a "normal" jewelers can remove marks from the polished parts of the bracelet. I presume that a brushed finish is easier to make like new?
Any ideas greatly appreciated.:poke:

TT can be polished, just like regular polished SS. Just be aware that you are reducing the amount of gold. Otiginally the gols was 20 microns thick so a polish isn't going to remove it completely, but it will certainly reduce the depth.

If you look at the side of a gold link then you will see the thickness of the gold, as a rough idea 20 microns is just about deep enough to be engraved without showing the base metal.
