As you know I own a B4B 6.75. I got this on August of last year and until March it has been acting up. Over several weeks the watch would just stop; even when the watch was wound the day before. I continued to ignore it until the last week of March where for 6 full hours the watch stoped. No amount of winding or shaking would get the time moving. Not even the chronograph was working. After the 6th hour, the watch started to move again. I took it to La Swiss in Square one mississauga and at first glance the watch service guy said there was nothing wrong. I asked him if he could inspect it and said that he was too busy with so many watch that he end up sending it to breitling canada in toronto. In the end I took the watch myself to Bcanada and went to service it. 4 - 7 weeks later Bcanada called saying the watch was ready. They told me (from what I can remember) that the aptitude was low (dont know what an aptitude is :-? ) and that they had to do a complete overhaul, change gaskets etc. By the way the watch was given to La Swiss from the manufacture around feb of 2009. The scary thing is after the person who gave me the watch back said she had wound it up to 25-30 times, I looked at the second hand counter and it was not moving. After shaking it the second hand began moving. Now I left the watch unscrewed but continued to wind it every 24 hours ( thanks for the advice roff) so that I may wear my second watch to work. Well after two days I put the 6.75 back on the wrist and withen a few mins the watch stopped again. I dont know what more I can do. Any thoughts guys?

By the way before I put the watch on my wrist I had wound it 30 times in case you may have thought I forgot to wind it

Unfortunately, back to Breitling it must go. :cry:

Low balance amplitude can be caused by a variety of problems. Almost all result in low power transmission in the time train. As the balance wheel oscillates back and forth it is kept in motion by a "kick" from the pallet fork which pushes the roller jewel as it passes the center resting position during the oscillation. Without going into more detail, the amplitude will be low if the "kick" is not strong enough. There is a long list of things to check and it is impossible to speculate on the cause without physically examining the movement.

But that is what I was saying in the op. I DID send it to breitling canada for watch services, I told them the problem, they said come back 4 to 7 weeks, I came back 4 to 7 weeks later, got the watch, told me they overhauled the watch and several days later the problem starts again. Just today at work my watch stopped around 6:55pm. After I shook it the watch it starts up again. And it wasn't a 'shook a few mins then stopped again as a result of lack of winding the crown'; it continues to move for several days.

I thinking of winding the watch 40 turns every sunday starting this sunday and see if it stops midway. I would wind it every 3 days if it was not the fear of damaging the threads on the crown.

everyone is human and makes mistakes. Time to send it back for repairs again.

I usually dont want tp bring topics back after a while but just an update I got my watch back :lingsrock: It seems to work fine without any complications or problems since its been serviced weeks ago. In any case I'm just glad I got my watch back.

i think you should first ask some specialized watch repairer to tell you what the matter with your watch, and then you send it to Breitling company for repairs again, but you then must add the reason why it needs repair, then the thing can be solved!
