Hey, guys.

I've had this Breitling for a couple of years now but I've had an annoying problem for a little while. For some reason, when I reset the timer on my watch, the minute and second hand don't go back to 12 on the dial. At the moment, the minute hand is on 58 and the second hand is on 10. If I let the timer run for a few minutes and then reset it, it does straight back to 58 minutes and 10 seconds.

Very frustrating. Is there a way to fix this without sending it to be repaired? I think the guarantee is up and I'd prefer to not send it back to Breitling, so if I can't fix it, can it be repaired at the shop I bought it? If I do have to send it to Breitling, any ideas about how long they take to get repairs sent back out?

A few questions there, I know! Sorry!

Thanks a lot for any help. This is a great site.

Quartz colt or Automatic colt - answer will be different depending on which it is.

This rather sounds like a Colt Chrono Quartz, with both the chronograph second hand and the minute totaliser running in the main dial.

If I remember correctly, you unscrew the crown and pull it out to the first position and can then reset the chronograph hands to zero by operating the chronograph pushpieces. I can’t remember for certain how many positions you pull out the crown, or which pushpiece does which hand, but that is how to reset the chronograph hands to zero.

I had to do this with mine when I bought it second hand.

Thanks a lot! I was worried I'd have to get it sent off for a long time, but it took me about a minute to do it then. That's great, thank you.
